The National Socialist Flyers Corps was a paramilitary organisation established in Germany in April 1937, it succeeded the German Air Sports Association that had been previously active during the years after WW1 when a German Air-force was forbidden under The Treaty of Versailles. The NSFK was organised on a military basis very similar to the Nazi SA.
This badge was awarded to flyers that took part in a competition in Berlin 1938. It has some discolouring to the badge enamel but the NSFK emblem is very crisp with a nice patina. The reverse of the badge is maker marked “ROB. NEFF – BERLIN W57” and enclosed in an oval.
