Item: 186
Fully intact WW2 German Fur Backpack. There are a few areas where the fur is thinning but mostly in good condition. All internal khaki canvas is intact and complete with the draw-strings. The leather reinforcement and straps are showing age, but would certainly soften up if treated with a leather spray or cream. The straps have an ink marking which is difficult to read, the bag has a cloth name tag stating “Sieeler Ferry”.
In addition to the Backpack there is the issued Canteen that is painted black and strapped to the fur outer, nice to have this and certainly looks as though its been attached to the Pack for many years.
