An outstanding example of the Hitlerjugend armband. The HJ origins date back to as early as 1922 but officially received its name as the Hitler-Jugend, Bund deutscher Arbeiterjugend (“Hitler Youth, League of German Worker Youth”) in July 1926. From 1933 to 1945 it was the only youth organisation in Germany and practically compulsory for boys aged 14 to 18 to join. It developed into a paramilitary organisation as the war continued. Tragically the HJ were heavily involved in the defence of Berlin during early 1945.
This armband is near perfect and possibly came from non-issued period stock. If you are seeking an authentic HJ armband, you wont find better than this!
