NSKK Dagger – marked RZM M7/10 – 1938 maker J. A. Henckels Solingen.
The National Socialist Motor Corps was organised as a paramilitary organisation of the NSDAP in Germany between 1931 to 1945. It was originally a training department to instruct its members in the maintenance and operation of motorcycles and automobiles.
After the outbreak of WW2 its members were recruited to serve in the various transport corps responsible for transporting military personnel to where they were required to operate.
This NSKK Dagger has a black painted scabbard, all fittings are dent free and the nickel plating is beautiful. All retaining screws are present and tight and there is very little damage to the bottom scabbard ball, only minor scratches.
The polished blade fits tightly into the scabbard, but at some time in its life has been sharpened. The motto “Alles fur Deutschland” has lost its etching but is still visible.
The handle is probably walnut and damage free, it fits tightly to the tang without any movement. Inset eagle and SA lozenge are both in excellent condition and set secure in handle.
A good honest NSKK dagger.
