These are a very nice condition set of the 1936 Olympic Cigarette Card Albums. They are both minus the rare dust covers, apart from this the books are completely mint condition.
Published after the completion of the games in 1936 by Cigaretten Bilderdienst, Altona-Bahrenfeld, Germany, they celebrate the winter and summer games of 1936. All sports are covered from the winter games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the summer games in Berlin.
It is very interesting to note that there is great coverage of the American Athlete Jesse Owens and certainly his friendship with German athlete Luz Long is highlighted.
At the back of one of the albums is a large map showing the Olympic grounds between Charlottenburg and Spandau as well as the Olympic Village west of the city of Berlin.
A beautiful photographic history of both games in 1936.
