This British General Service Medal was issued during the reign of King George 6th.

The medal has a 100% original disc but the clasp and ribbon are reproduction and rather crudely soldered to the outer rim – award bar is a reproduction for service in Palestine. You can see clearly where the alloy clasp has melted when the solder was introduced.

On the rim of the medal the recipient is named – “Lance Corporal T. Baird of the Seaforth Highlanders”.

The medal has damage to the edge and is priced accordingly.
