The tunic is a small size (estimate 34″ chest). Quality is extremely high as all Guards tunics being a very thick wool material lined with a soft wool laminated lining. There is a black tailor label stating “Hobson & Sons Ltd – London”. All buttons are present with the Irish Guards Regimental symbol the winged harp with the crown above. I would estimate that this tunic would be from an issue in the 1980s.
The cap that comes with the tunic is complete with cap badge. Internal the lining at the front is loose where the guardsman has “pinched” in the sides of the cap. The size is a large size – 58.
Originally this cap did not belong to the same guardsman as the tunic is named “Fleming” and the cap is named “Evans”, although of course the cap matches the correct wear for the tunic.
Nice set would display beautifully with a guards white belt.
