Small, framed oil painting – measures 44cms X 36cms painted on board. Hitler and his entourage regularly travelled on the lake passing the church whilst on route to the walking area at the southern end of the lake.

Painting is post WW2 and signed bottom right corner “Buttgenbachs 50” – artist is unknown to me, and I would guess at an amateur artist. Frame is in excellent condition and by the look of the tacks used to secure board, original to the period of execution.

Artistic quality can only be said to be fair but does present a very important area for Hitler during the Third Reich era.

Cheap old oil painting that would sit perfectly in any Bavarian style room or bar.
