This is a superb very high quality Artillery Officers full length Greatcoat, very heavy doe skin material estimated with a weight of 5 kilos. The coat is free from any rips, tears or mothing. All buttons are present and marked “Extra Fein” on the back just as they should be. The collar is a deep bottle green and velvet like material, really beautiful. The clasp at the top of the neck-line to keep out the bad weather, is present and fully secure to the coat. The cuffs are turned back as was the style of these coats.

The shoulder boards are aluminium thread “Russia” braid material and double piped. The backing material is the bright scarlet for the Artillery Division of the Wehrmacht. The boards have a single pip on each for rank of Leutnant, and the unit number “28”.

Internal of the coat the dagger hanging strap is present, these are often missing on these coats. The silk lining is a bottle green and in perfect condition. There is a label at the back of the neck area stating “Kohler & Schulze – Leipzig, Dittrichring 6”, also the original owners name of “Gunther”.

A beautiful high quality greatcoat in near mint condition, size is estimated at a 36″ chest.
