Heydrich was a member of the SS in Germany from 1931 to 1942. He became an SS-Obergruppenfuhrer and the Senior Group Leader and General of the Nazi Police Force, which included the Gestapo, Kripo and SD. Later he became the Deputy/Acting Reich-Protector of Bohemia and Moravia.
He chaired the January 1942 Wannsee Conference which formalised the “Final Solution” which led to the deportation and murdering of Jews in German occupied Europe.
