The Luftschutz Medal 2nd Class was awarded to personnel who gave their service with merit to the civil air defence of Germany from 1933 to 1945.
This medal is the thin bodied version and made from die struck aluminium alloy. Elements of the original silver wash are remaining, the casting was excellent and all details are crisp and clear. Ribbon is in near perfect condition and soft to the touch.
