NSDAP Civil Service Faithful Service Cross – 40 Years – Boxed

The NSDAP Civil Service Faithful Service Cross was awarded in Germany from 30th January 1938 to 1941. It was awarded in three grades 25, 40 & 50 years service. Awarded to all officials, employees, and labourers at any level of the public service (local, regional or national) who completed 25, 40 or 50 years of service respectively .

This 40 year version has 98% of its gold wash remaining, the enamel to the swastika is perfect. The pebbling is distinct and the obverse “Fur Treue Dienste” (For Faithful Service), is crisp and clear. Ribbon and attachment pin are in excellent condition. It comes with its hinged box of issue which is marked by maker Deschler & Sohn – Munchen. The hinged red box has a few scuffs and a small patch of water damage, although it is in sound solid condition with the clasp and hinge fully working and undamaged. The gold embossed “40” on the box lid is clear and complete.

A very nice example complete with its box of issue and maker marked which is a rarity.
