WW2 German Gold Wound Badge – Boxed

The Gold Wound Badge with swastika was authorised in Germany 1st September 1939. I t was awarded for five or more times wounded, loss of limbs, total blindness, loss of manhood or brain damage – this award could also be issued posthumously.

This badge is in extremely fine condition with no maker details. Issued with the rare cardboard box marked LDO – (Leistungs Gemeinschaft der Deutscher Ordenshersteller – Administration of German Orders Manufacturers. Box has one small tear.
