A complimentary card wishing a Christmas greetings and best wishes for the New Year – signed Donitz. Also newspaper cuttings published just after his death on 24th December 1980.
Karl Donitz a German Grand Admiral, played a major role in the naval history of WW2. After the death of Hitler on 30th April 1945 and in accordance with Hitlers last will and testament, he became German head of state and Supreme Commander of its armed forces.
At the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials, he was found guilty of war crimes and sentenced to ten years in prison.
