NSKK Dagger – (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps)

NSKK Dagger – maker marked “F. Dick” – whom also were one of the producers of the Ernst Rohm Honor Daggers.

The National Socialist Motor Corps was organised as a paramilitary organisation of the NSDAP in Germany between 1931 to 1945. It was originally a training department to instruct its members in the maintenance and operation of motorcycles and automobiles.

After the outbreak of WW2 its members were recruited to serve in the various transport corps responsible for transporting military personnel to where they were required to operate.

This NSKK Dagger has a black painted scabbard which is practically mint, only very few tiny marks which really are almost unnoticeable. All fittings are dent free and the nickel plating is beautiful. All retaining screws are present and tight. The cross-guard is unit marked “Th” for unit Thüringen. The bottom scabbard ball does have a dent and one small split where the dagger has been dropped at some time.

The polished blade fits tightly into the scabbard, most of the cross graining is still visible. The motto “Alles fur Deutschland” is beautifully etched and very distinct. There are two small nicks to the side of the blade edge, but generally the blade can be classed as excellent.

The handle is probably rosewood and with only minor scuffing which could be polished out easily. Handle fits tightly to the tang without any movement. Inset eagle and SA lozenge are both in excellent condition and set secure in handle.
