This is an exceptional early SA Dagger by very rare maker Carl Schmidt Sohn, with an approximate production of only 1000 pieces.

All nickel silver fittings are in excellent plated condition, unfortunately the ball of the scabbard does have a split where the dagger was dropped at some time. The handle is free from any chips or splits, inset SA lozenge has no enamel damage but does have a slight patina around the circular edge. Inset eagle is very sharp and crisp and fits superbly into the handle recess. The cross-guard is unit marked “Om”.

The blade is excellent and marked “Carl Schmidt Sohn – A.G. Solingen” and the house logo internal of a circle. The deeply etched motto “Alles fur Deutschland” is probably one of the best War-Den has come across in many years.

The anodised scabbard is perfect with a smooth finish to the entire surface. Dagger fits tightly into the scabbard without any play, all fixing screws are present.

A high quality early SA Dagger by a very rare maker.
