Luftwaffe Officers Dress Sword – Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen

This is the nicest Luftwaffe Dress Sword War-Den has seen in many years. Aluminium fittings with a totally mint blade with the Paul Weyersberg name and maker mark – this blade is superb and would be hard to find better. All gold guilt remains to the swastikas at the pommel and cross-guard. The engraving at the sides of the pommel are crisp and sharp, extremely high quality. All fittings are completely unmarked and in near mint condition. The leather bound scabbard has one mark near the cross-guard end, it looks like a pressure mark but the leather remains intact. There are no other marks along the full length of the leather bound scabbard. The wire bound grip has a few minor chips and grazes, but does not distract from the overall look of the grip, the wire remains tight along full length of the grip. Overall length of the sword from the pommel to the tip of the lower end of the scabbard is 93 cms – a long sword.

This is a really fine example of the Luftwaffe Officers Dress Sword with aluminium fittings, would be hard to find  better.
