The SA Military Sports Defence Armband was worn by SA members who were employed from 1939 on-wards to train civilians whom were unfit to join the regular military organisations but were fit enough to take part in home defence training.

This armband is the second pattern made from very high quality cotton rather than the early versions that had a high percentage of silk material and thread. The central gold Sports Badge Emblem being machine woven to an excellent quality. Some staining on back and front but in limited areas only. Should be expected after 80 plus years.
