Hitlerjugend Leaders Dagger

The Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend), was the youth organisation of the NSDAP in Germany from 1933 to 1945. Its origins dated back to 1922 but received its official name in 1926 – (Bund deutscher Arbeiterjugend – Hitler Youth League of German Worker Youth). From 1933 to 1945 it was the only official German youth organisation in Germany and was organised as a paramilitary force. Service from boys 14 to 18 was almost compulsory.

This is a very rare Hitler Youth Leaders Dagger. The blade is marked RZM M7/36 for E&F Horster Solingen. You can see the RZM circle is perfectly inside the fine contour lines of the blade – perfect just as it should be. The blade itself is very bright with no pitting, the motto “BLUT UND EHRE!” is crisp and engraved beautifully. The original leather blade washer is intact and undamaged.

All fittings are silver finished with crisp detailing, some slight age discolouring is present but overall the fittings are excellent. The scabbard is covered in black leather which is in really superb condition with no breaks or dents – very nice undamaged quality.

All fixing pins are present and tight without any movements. The wire bound grip is complete with no evidence of any missed wiring. The grip has only minor loosening, generally the wires are close together with only minor movement after all these years.

This is a very fine condition HJ Leaders Dagger, completely correct for the Third Reich Era in all construction.
