United States Flyers Leather A-2 Jacket

Type A-2 brown leather flight jacket from the 1980s. Originally designed and developed for WW2 U.S. Army Air Force pilots, navigators and bombardiers.
This A-2 is in excellent condition external and internal. The brown goatskin leather is supple and does not show any sign of wrinkling – superb condition. To the right breast pocket is the cloth badge of the “AF Special Operations” – The AF formed in 1983 are the special operations unit of the United States Air Force and based at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
The zip to this jacket is sturdy as all fastening to the pockets. Brown elasticated waist band and cuffs are only slightly stretched indicating this A-2 has been worn and flown. Internal it has a maker label – “SADDLERY” and marked “Made in USA”. Below the label it is marked size “44R”. There is a smaller label on the internal side of the jacket stating the light sand lining to be a polyester/cotton mix.
This really is a great A-2 jacket, hard to find better unless you want to pay $600 plus! All that’s needed is a nice old Triumph or Indian motorcycle and your Steve McQueen!!!
